Development Squads
Over the past four years Galway Football has developed a very comprehensive high quality academies network. In all we have nine separate football squads being coached by high quality coaches many of whom are former Galway County footballers. These are highly specialised coaching sessions with a structured progression from one age group to the next.

The Aims of Development Squads:
• To identify, develop, monitor and evaluate players in all of the age groups
• Enable players to maximise their potential
• Provide players with a more challenging level of training and development
• Provide players the opportunity to train within their own area within a more structured and quality environment
• Improve the qualities of players across all levels of the game

We believe that these players will have a positive and long lasting effect on the development of Galway football. This will help elevate the quality of play on the local scene therefore enhancing the overall standard of our games in the county.
